The Library is another major hub in the Town. It is the fourth biggest library in Swindon. As well as its main function it hosts activities including Job Club, children’s craft activities; adult colouring sessions, talks and computer training. It has a permanent exhibition space for Highworth Historical Society as well as display cabinets to promote the work of local artisans.

All of our schools perform well and are popular with parents. As well as producing high academic achievement they are delighted to share in community activities. All of them will share space with the community. The secondary school has recently built a new sports hall, dance studio and all – weather pitch, all of which are used by the public during the evenings and week-ends. The school also boasts an impressive Big Band that often performs locally. All of our school are a real asset to the Town.

Notice Of Maintenance repairs along the footways at Grange Close
Maintenance repairs along the footways at Grange Close
The purpose of the scheme is to prepare the deteriorating surface for resurfacing in the summer in order to increase the life span of the footway and to provide a safer and better surface for pedestrians.
The works are provisionally programmed to commence from Monday 19th April 2021 for 2 days between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, however, on occasions they may over run slightly due to circumstances outside of their control such as plant breakdowns, if weather conditions are unfavourable, or occasionally we discover the need for additional repairs once the work has started.
The work force will maintain pedestrian access for the duration; however due to the nature of the works, some disruption is possible and vehicular access may need to be restricted at times. It is essential that the areas remain un-trafficked until the new material has set, as early use could lead to premature failure so works will be undertaken in multiple phases
